This group participates in circular 3 – 4 mile walks in the North-West Kent countryside. Walks are followed by a pub lunch.

Normally, 10 – 20 people take part. Walks are led by individuals in the group, but there is no pressure to be a walk leader. It is a friendly group and new members will be made very welcome. Walk details will be found in the monthly newsletter and our website notice board

Wednesday 22nd July

A flat walk of between 3 & 4 miles from The Pied Bull” in the High Street, Farningham

Meet Clive at “The Pied Bull”, High Street, Farningham, DA4 0DG at 10am for a 10.15 start

Directions:

By car: Take the A20 away from Swanley. When you reach the Farningham roundabout, by the petrol station, turn right heading towards the village. At the crossroads, turn left and you will find “The Pied Bull” about half a mile up on the right. You can park in the streets nearby.

By public transport: The nearest railway stations are at Farningham Road and Eynsford, both about 1.5 miles away.

Monday 17th August

A walk of between 3 & 4 miles from The Cricketers” Meopham Green

Meet Clive at The Cricketers Meopham Green, Wrotham Road, DA13 0QA at 10am for a 10.15 start.

Directions:

By car: Meopham Green is on the A227 about half way between the A2 and A20 turn-offs and is next to the windmill. If you are eating, use the pub car park otherwise there is plenty of parking around the green and you can also park in side streets.

By public transport: You can get a train from Swanley to Meopham. The pub is about 1.75 miles walk from there, but you could get a 308 or 416 bus.
